

I have also aligned the printer via the utility. I also used the printer's screen to select the paper size correctly.

When I loaded the paper, I correctly centered the cards with the guides snug on the sides. In the preview the text is shown on the bottom half of the page, like a normal greeting card is set up. It appears in the pre-print correctly, as designed, but when it outputs into the printer the text ends up being centered on the fold of the page. I've created this simple card (one side only) in both Pages and Word, set up the page as a 5x7 in both circumstances. I had to fiddle with the custom size and non-printable area settings (no idea why it doesn't actually correspond to the actual paper size), but these are the settings that are working for me. The result is the whole photo prints on the bottom half of the page and then you can fold it in half to make your greeting card. Select "Custom" size and set photo size to 6.6 in by 4.57 in.Make sure that you select the newly created custom page size to print on.Open Photos, select photo, and hit print.Name it something like "5 x 7 photo greeting card" Create a new custom paper size: 7 in x 10 in with non-printable area as user-defined: Top (3.85 in), Left/Right/Bottom (.2 in).Then under "Paper Size" go to "Manage Custom Sizes." [this step is necessary because Apple Photos does not allow you to add a custom paper size).
